Matthieu Bardout

Founder & Principal

  • From a young age, I collected rocks and loved volcanoes. In 2003, I moved to London to study geophysics at Imperial College, and then to Wellington (NZ) to focus on seismology. I'm a proud nerd and my scientific grounding is the bedrock of my worldview.

  • I spent my early career seeking enriching experiences, working in engineering, consulting and research. And I kept learning with online courses and a second Master's in Sustainable Development from Utrecht University.

  • In 2018, I moved to New York and founded Asset Impact to provide asset-level data for sustainable finance. I built the team, secured partnerships, validated the product-market fit, and set the foundations for an acquisition by GRESB in 2022.

  • After a short break to enjoy parenthood, I joined S&P Global to focus on scale, leading strategic initiatives to grow a $300M+ portfolio at double-digit speed. I fully embraced technology and AI and completed an executive program at MIT.

  • TenFutures is my platform for the long term. Where I continue to learn, to build solutions with positive impact, and to share what I learn along the way. There are many great things to do. Let's do it together!
